SAT, PSAT, ACT, and LSAT Tutoring
I tutor in Carmel Valley and Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
Most people know me as the tutor who got a 2390 out of 2400 on the new SAT I, but I like to think of myself as the most experienced SAT, PSAT, ACT, and LSAT tutor in the area. While I tutor many LSAT and ACT prep students, the vast majority of my business is, in fact, SAT and PSAT Test Prep Tutoring. Almost every day I tutor SAT prep for 3 to 6 hours, sometimes even 8 hours (which makes for a very long day since I drive to clients' homes). I go over PSATs with students, I go over the questions in "The Official SAT Study Guide" with students, I go over SAT Questions of the Day with students, and I go over recent SAT tests (copies purchased online) with students too. I am an SAT prep expert, for I know the test inside and out and know how to beat it. After a long hiatus from SAT prep tutoring, I took the new SAT I in early 2009 in order to get an official score on it. With standard time limits (some students get lots of extra time on the test, which makes getting a good score easier), I scored a 2390 out of 2400. Someone could get accepted into Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, or Yale with a much lower score than that.
If you are wise, you will get a very experienced (and very patient) tutor like me.
What can you expect from me? Most kids can expect a 200 to 350 point increase to their official SAT score if they diligently complete the homework I assign and have at least 6 1.5-hour lessons with me. That's not asking much for such large returns.
