Salinas, CA SAT, ACT, and LSAT Test Prep Tutoring
I have an official SAT I score of 2390 out of 2400, and I have many years of experience tutoring SAT and PSAT prep. I tutor all areas of the SAT, PSAT, and ACT: SAT math, SAT critical reading, SAT writing, PSAT math, PSAT critical reading, PSAT writing (the PSAT is very similar to the SAT, ACT math, ACT English, ACT reading, ACT essay, and ACT "science" (you don't have to know any science, just how to read complex charts and graphs and see correlations).  In addition, I tutor all sections of the LSAT (the LSAT is my favorite test).

Although my hourly rate may be slightly higher than that of many tutoring centers and online tutoring companies, in the long run I am actually less expensive than they are.  I'm more efficient than they are.  In ten hours of SAT tutoring, I can raise someone's score over 250 points.   Many tutoring centers couldn't raise your child's score 250 points even if they tutored your child for 30 hours.   Another thing, I can help your child's SAT score so much that your child has a better chance of getting a "merit scholarship" or has a better chance of getting a bigger one.   My x-girlfriend's daughter got an $80,000 merit scholarship ($20,000 per year for 4 years) to a prestigious university back East, in addition to all the financial aid.  Pick up a copy of  the college edition of U.S. News & World Reports for more information on how much aid each college gave last year and what SAT score and GPAs their students have.

Don't be fooled by a businessman's fancy website or by an office.   Get an experienced and honest tutor you can depend on to deliver.  Over the years I have helped many students improve their SAT and PSAT test scores.  For instance, one of my students in Salinas, California, raised his SAT writing score from a 540 to an 800.  I have helped some students gain over 200 points to their SAT math score and I have helped a few students gain 170 points to their SAT critical reading scores.  These examples, however, are not typical.
Most students gain a total of 200 to 350 points to their SAT scores.  An average student of mine who puts in the work gains 100 points on the SAT math, 90 points on the SAT critical reading, and 110 points on the SAT writing.  Of course, some students come to me with a 750 in math and leave with an 800 in math, so they gained only 50 points.  Yet 50 points was all they could gain since each section is worth a maximum of 800 points, for a total of 2400 points.
